Franca Taris

General Manager

Born in Piedmont and raised in Sardinia surrounded by sun, sea and the exquisite homemade meals cooked by her mum Virginia!

I started working in hospitality for fun, just after my studies, the first experiences were at "Forte Village Resort", a spectacular place in the south of Sardinia, where I discovered a real passion and love for the hospitality world. After a few years in Sardinia, Brighton and a decade in Costa Smeralda, working in beautiful hotels and restaurants, my heart brought me back to England and London. HIDE, our stunning main restaurant, has been Franca’s home for 3 years, before Hideaway called.

“Hideaway is a special place, I feel blessed to work with an amazing team and have the chance to make my guests feel at home in the heart of London, enjoying our top quality coffee, wine, food and smiles!"

Stacey Barber

Head of Coffee

Originally from Essex, Stacey moved to London to follow her passion for coffee and tea after visiting coffee farms in Costa Rica. She has trained at Harris and Hoole, Union Hand Roasters and Climpson and Sons, all London-based speciality coffee roasters who are now our exclusive roasters for Hideaway.

“I think very day is an opportunity to train, learn and experiment with delicious concoctions and sharing these with our lovely customers is my biggest passion!”

Andrew Alu

Head Chef

Andrew did an amazing job helping HIDE to open its doors and quickly rose to sous chef there, and all the team at HIDE are proud of the amazing job his does at this little sister site.

“Whilst growing up in a large Sicilian family, I watched my family cook in our farmhouse every Sunday and use the food the farmland produced. This is where my passion of food comes from”.

Andrea Bellagamba

Head Pastry Chef

Born and raised in Argentina, Andrea always loved baking and trying out new pastries. Cooking was a way of seeing the world, and luckily for the folk of Mount Street, she decided to come to London after finishing her pastry course.

“I believe good memories are always related with food, and as chefs we have the power to bring them back and create new ones!”
